We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant role for an IT company based in Reading. Our client is now rising to become one of the highly innovative networking product providers, with goals of becoming one of the top 3 networking companies and pursuing a greater global presence, all while progressing in the networking world to help support our most valued consumers with a product that enables their life easier.

They are looking for someone with extensive experience working in a reputable accounting firm. You will be reporting directly to the finance manager. Working with a professional team requires you to assist the manager and provide sound guidance to help the company's development and growth.

Desired Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, banking, or a related field
  • Accounting experience of at least 5 years
  • Experience with Sage 50 Accounts or similar accounting software
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Comprehensive understanding of basic accounting procedures
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially with Excel
  • Ability to think about one's own job as well as the broader implications of financial decisions
  • Preferable experience or understanding of foreign taxation
  • Preferred to speak Chinese
