We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Manager/Buyer role for a retail food company based in London. The Client is dedicated to delivering a diverse selection of luxury and modern groceries, as well as conventional and modern street food, to the consumer.

Responsibilities:

  • Tracking off order confirmations
  • Handling imports & order fulfillment
  • Monitoring future product codes & barcodes
  • Vendor order follow up & preparation notifications
  • Getting actually buying phone conversations & emails

Qualifications:

  • CIPS Level 3 or higher is needed (Level 4 desirable)
  • Outstanding listening abilities
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (desirable)
  • Previous Purchasing/Buyer experience is needed (Food and Lifestyle products desirable)
  • Strong negotiating and persuasion abilities
  • Strong numeracy abilities
  • Experience in management (desirable)
  • Implementation of buying systems
  • Awareness on how to set up a buying system
