We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Buyer role in a Nottingham-based Retail company. The company is the UK's biggest provider of the fuel and retail store sectors, with thousands of outlets receiving full marketing and logistical assistance. The Junior Buyer will play an active position in the company, collaborating closely with the buying team to establish the brand's identity.

Job Requirements:

  • Mandarin and English are native or proficient (spoken and written).
  • Proven purchasing skills in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Preferably 4 years of purchasing experience with 2 years of retail experience.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Collaboration experience with vendors in the UK, Europe, and the Far East.
  • Understanding of the product development process.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities, and the ability to form strong bonds with coworkers and vendors.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the competitive market.
  • Strong arithmetic and analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a “can‑do” attitude.
  • Capable of planning, prioritising, focusing on issues, and being inquisitive and logical in delivering real solutions.
  • Confident in handling suppliers at all levels, as well as Purchasing Assistants when needed.
  • A keen business sense.
  • Computer literate, with Excel proficiency essential.
