We have a fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant in a Retail business based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The company is a maker of cutting‑edge inflatable items for a wide range of recreational and lifestyle activities and has been sourcing and developing products for retailers across the UK and USA for the past six years. Their mobile bathtub collection comprises affordable, easy‑to‑install air‑filled spa treatments.

This role is part of the Purchasing and Merchandising Team and is available for immediate start. It is a full‑time position on a three‑month contract that could lead to a permanent appointment.

Requirements
  • At least one year of administrative experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and good analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin preferred.
  • Ability to multi‑task using a variety of IT systems.
  • Outstanding time‑management and leadership skills to manage tasks under pressure and suggest appropriate action.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and a common understanding of Access.
  • Flexible attitude and capacity to carry out a variety of changing administrative tasks.
  • Background in import and export business is preferred.
