We are a leading Manchester‑based law firm that provides private, business, and international legal services to a diverse range of clients. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor role.

Responsibilities

  • Review cases, provide high‑quality legal advice, and develop case strategy.
  • Oversee the entire litigation department and bring matters to a conclusion quickly (settlement or trial).
  • Prepare all standard litigation papers including statement of claim, witness statements, expenses schedules, applications, orders, and part36 offers.
  • Operate under pressure, maintain a regular schedule of proceedings, legal proceedings and meetings, using the firm’s computerised diary and case list.
  • Ensure clients are invoiced regularly, manage client debts to a minimum, and charge to monthly objectives using case management software.
  • Help with internal‑external networking events, presentations and web articles to promote and advertise the firm’s services.
  • Drive results beyond client expectations, and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of business, contract, and conveyancing.
  • Strong commercial knowledge of business and clientele potential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to multitask, manage competing responsibilities and hit deadlines.
  • Experience in civil procedural regulations and litigation case management.
  • Self‑driven, proactive and able to work independently without routine supervision.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a detail‑oriented approach.
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic, team‑player, capable of swiftly grasping new areas of law.
