We have an exciting opportunity for a Battery Metals Broker role for a Vaud-based renewables & environment company. The company is among the world's largest commodities brokerage firms. The company is searching for a driven individual who can expand the company's footprint while also providing coverage for customers in the physical and financial derivatives markets. Our ideal applicant is self‐assured, flexible, good at building relationships, and competent.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Mathematics, Business, Sustainable Finance, Commodity Trading and Environmental Studies.
- At least two years of successful professional experience in metals brokerage, sales, or trading.
- Cobalt, Lithium, Nickel, Battery Graphite, or Aluminium expertise is preferred, but other metals can be substituted.
- Working exposure on creating a new market.
- Strong negotiating, communication, and relation‐building abilities.
- In a commission‐based workplace, you must have a commercial attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
- A thorough grasp of the markets and related jargon.
- Multitasking skills and the ability to swiftly comprehend and analyse complicated material.
- Derivatives and derivatives trading are both technical concepts that you understand (futures, options, swaps).
- Strong arithmetic skills and computer literacy (high Excel competence).
- Fluency in English is a must; fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
