We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer role in an Appliance, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing company based in China. It is a pioneer in the design and production of passive and active optical parts for WLAN, DWDM, and FTTH networks, as well as for data centres and other networks. They are seeking a buyer to manage the entire purchasing process, maximising prices, contracts, and delivery times in addition to managing quotes, negotiating contracts, and placing orders to support the company's continued expansion.
Job Requirements
- Working experience at a similar level in a manufacturing setting is required.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities as well as negotiation skills.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement is necessary.
- Chinese fluency.
- A track record of reducing costs and improving supplier performance.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbally and in writing, for dealing with domestic and foreign suppliers.
- Able to meet deadlines under pressure while working independently and in a collaborative atmosphere.
- Must be able to commute to Livingston on time or have a relocation plan in place before commencing employment.
