We are looking for a Food Retail Facilities and Compliance Officer for a leading East Asian food retailer based in London. The role involves overseeing the facilities team and ensuring a safe, compliant environment for customers and staff across health & safety, food protection, regulatory, contractual and other business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Facilities team to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food protection, regulatory, contractual and business processes.
  • Monitor legislation changes, write and analyse legislation, and respond accordingly.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with store managers, senior managers and staff.
  • Coordinate and negotiate with contractors on compliance matters.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar legal compliance or facilities role.
  • H&S trained to the IOSH standard.
  • Food Safety Level 3 certification.
  • Experience operating within a commercial food environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear communication with managers and staff.
  • Ability to write and analyse legislation and respond accordingly.
  • Intermediate Excel and basic Word skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with contractors.
  • Capability to work unsupervised and take responsibility.
  • Remain calm under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented and flexible in written skills and time management.
  • Good organisational skills.
