We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller role in a London based design studio. The firm creates buildings, places, master plans, products and infrastructure from its combined workshop and design studio that will have the most positive societal impact.
The ideal candidate will manage financial policies, procedures and systems inside the Finance team and across the organisation, including for personnel transferred offshore, to provide efficient financial control.
Qualifications
- A professional accounting qualification, ideally an ACA degree certification is preferred
- Capacity to meet deadlines by delivering precise, high-quality work
- The accounting software knowledge, ideally SAGE
- Excel and database abilities are good
- A high degree of attention to detail
- Good organisational and data management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills, especially with non-financial employees
- Problem-solving abilities
- Excellent team-building abilities
Key Skills
- Extensive experience in financial controls and systems, preferably in an audit firm producing a consolidated set of group accounts with overseas entities
- Leading a finance team developing and communicating finance policies across an organisation
- Project accounting for corporation tax, VAT, and payroll taxes in the United Kingdom, the United States, China, and Singapore
- Management of foreign currency risk
- Management of cash flow
