The firm finds, procures, and supplies a varied range of items across various sectors to meet client demands. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Credit Controller to support routine financial activities in our Crawley-based oil and gas company.
Qualifications and Experience
- GCSE qualification with a pass in Mathematics at grade C or above.
- International credit control knowledge.
- Experience in credit control within a commercial setting, including dealing with challenging clients to collect overdue payments.
- Understanding of INCO.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience (preferred).
- Bilingual with proficiency in Chinese.
- Computer literate and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Outstanding numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent telephone manner and the ability to establish working relationships with colleagues and customers.
- A customer‑centred problem‑solving approach.
- A proactive and professional attitude towards credit control, with the ability to address challenges and concerns politely.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyse financial data.
- Understanding of the Sage system.
- Previous position in an SME finance department.
- Application knowledge of financial and non‑financial software applications.
- Working knowledge of month‑end reporting and processes.
