We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Procurement role in an Electronic Manufacturing company based in Northamptonshire. It is the largest producer and provider of mobile presentation and display devices in the UK.

The Head of Procurement will oversee and manage procurement operations in order to optimise vendor and supply chain partnerships and ensure quality goods are responsibly bought at commercially competitive prices.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical abilities, as well as a track record of success in evaluating data patterns.
  • Able to work independently on complicated projects while taking into account the demands of other stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to create effective multi-faceted procurement methods.
  • Proven track experience of working in a Far Eastern distribution chain with an annual spend of about $15 million USD, including the implementation of a solid procurement strategy.
  • Capable of demonstrating prior procurement gains in areas such as cost, management, innovation, and comparable instances.
  • A bachelor's degree in management, economics, or a related commercial degree is required, with a high preference for procurement expertise.
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin, either vocally or in writing.
  • Resilient and determined to succeed.
  • Excellent cross-team collaboration abilities.
  • Budget and goal-setting knowledge and comprehension.
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on bargaining.
  • Pragmatic with strong problem-solving and persuasion skills.
  • Considered demeanour, capable of handling challenging topics professionally and politely.
