We have an exciting opportunity for a Battery Metals Broker role for a Vaud-based renewables & environment company. The company is among the world’s largest commodities brokerage firms. The company is searching for a driven individual who can expand the company’s footprint while also providing coverage for customers in the physical and financial derivatives markets. Our ideal applicant is self-assured, flexible, good at building relationships, and competent.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Mathematics, Business, Sustainable Finance, Commodity Trading and Environmental Studies.
  • At least two years of successful professional experience in metals brokerage, sales, or trading. Cobalt, Lithium, Nickel, Battery Graphite, or Aluminium expertise is preferred, but other metals can be substituted.
  • Working exposure on creating a new market.
  • Strong negotiating, communication, and relation-building abilities.
  • In a commission-based workplace, you must have a commercial attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
  • A thorough grasp of the markets and related jargon.
  • Multitasking skills and the ability to swiftly comprehend and analyse complicated material.
  • Derivatives and derivatives trading are both technical concepts that you understand (futures, options, swaps).
  • Strong arithmetic skills and computer literacy (high Excel competence).
  • Fluency in English is a must; fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
