We have an exciting opportunity for a Container Logistics Manager role for an export company based in Amersham. Our client is a leading meat and poultry exporter from Europe and North America, with a primary focus on exporting to Asia and Africa. They are looking for a hardworking, diligent person with a keen eye for detail to oversee container logistics preparation and administration.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel (formulas, etc.) and have good numeracy skills.
- Proficiency in a second language would be advantageous but not necessary; Mandarin would be especially useful considering the company's primary business of exporting to China.
- Must be able to actively seek employment in the United Kingdom.
- Reliable, competent, and tenacious, with strong communication skills and a professional appearance.
- A minimum of two years of experience in reefer shipment logistics is required.
- Able to balance priorities, multitask continuously, and ensure workflow completion.
- Understand the significance of data integrity in reporting and convey details clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Must be a quote negotiator who can secure the best logistics prices.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, to a “good” level is required.
- Able to understand and use simple arithmetic formulae in Excel, and adapt to new database and spreadsheet systems.

- Demonstrate proficiency in comparing transportation quotes in different currencies.
