Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Director of Technical Services to provide operational engineering support and act in their stead as necessary.
  • Plan and formulate the engineering programme, organising staff according to project and maintenance requirements.
  • Review preventive maintenance tasks and yearly work schedules for all equipment, ensuring they are updated regularly in line with local authority regulations, corporate standards, and input from operational departments.
  • Lead the establishment of objectives for the Engineering Department and coordinate operational activities of all trades to achieve those objectives.
  • Actively participate in the Emergency Response Team and manage follow‐up on operational and technical matters related to the hotel emergency procedures.

Qualifications

To be a successful Chief Engineer candidate, you must have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in hotels, and have led a team.
