Responsibilities

  • Work with the senior team to ensure excellent quality throughout the offerings at Dinner.
  • Communicate effectively, lead the smooth operation of the kitchen, and support the Head Chef with menu engineering, cost control, and product development.
  • Oversee and manage the smooth running of day‑to‑day kitchen operations.
  • Strive to deliver the highest quality of food and service.
  • Supervise all product preparation and presentation.
  • Plan production to facilitate daily requirements, ensuring sufficient stock levels.
  • Develop and produce appropriate menu offerings aligned with the restaurant concept.
  • Liaise with operations manager to ensure adequate quality of deliveries.
  • Carry out requisitioning and ordering to ensure appropriate cost control.
  • Deliver daily team briefings.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and time management.
  • Maintain health, hygiene and safety standards.
  • Attend and conduct trainings to further develop yourself and others.
  • Conduct departmental orientation for all new team members.
  • Maintain appropriate standard of cleanliness including equipment and utensils.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience.
  • Previous experience working at a similar style of restaurant.
  • A creative approach with an unparalleled eye for detail.
  • The ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
  • A can‑do attitude & the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain high and consistent food & hygiene standards at all times.
  • Drive, initiative and passion for the restaurant industry.
