Mandarin Oriental Mayfair is looking for an Accounts Payable to join our Finance team.
About the Role
Based at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the Finance Department, the Accounts Payable colleague works closely with the Finance Supervisor and Management Accountant to support the implementation and maintenance of effective internal control systems across income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities for both the hotel and residences. The Accounts Payable colleague reports directly to the Director of Finance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments for suppliers.
- Receive and process invoices within the Hotel system accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile statements and supplier accounts on a monthly basis.
- Verify that all invoices have full supporting backup such as purchase orders, delivery notes, authorisation, etc., before payment.
- Maintain tidy and efficient filing system of all invoices, payments, and reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date record/log of invoices.
- Complete all month-end journals and accruals within required deadlines.
- Perform VAT reconciliations after month end.
- Assist in providing relevant month-end/year-end information within required deadlines.
- Deal efficiently with all telephone queries to and from suppliers.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have experience working within the hotel industry, strong understanding of hospitality finance operations, and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced Accounts Payable environment. Proficiency in accounting systems is required; experience using SUN Systems is an advantage.
