We need a Security Officer to join our fantastic team in this world-renowned residential building on a full-time basis.
Scope of PositionThe practical application of security measures ensuring the safety and well-being of Residents, Guests, and Associates, as well as protection of the Company’s property from loss or damage. Responsibilities include:
- Providing a safe and secure environment enabling the Company to maximise service standards.
- Maintaining all Mandarin Oriental Residences operating standards to the highest level, delivering prompt and courteous service at all times.
- Assisting the Security Supervisor in all aspects of the Security Department and undertaking responsibilities in the absence of the Security Manager.
- Actively participating in an excellent work climate to boost morale and satisfaction.
- Carrying out any reasonable request, even if it means crossing over to another department.
Responsibilities include:
- Being knowledgeable of FLHSS (Fire, Life, Health, Safety, and Security) related rules and regulations pertaining to One Hyde Park Residences.
- Obtaining witness statements and writing incident reports via provided software.
- Recording all relevant incidents in the Occurrence Book.
- Complying with the Code of Practice for Security Staff.
- Being trained in First Aid emergency techniques and fire safety.
- Responding directly to all activations of access and panic alarms.
- Providing security awareness training and information to Associates as required.
- Conducting random audits in all departments to ensure adherence to key control policy.
- Investigating, administrating, and reporting all accidents as legislated by RIDDOR.
- Conducting daily hazard patrols and communicating findings to relevant Associates.
- Conducting regular patrols of the Complex, focusing on public areas and means of escape.
- Ensuring that grooming standards are consistently maintained.
- Ensuring that each colleague performs to the required level of service to meet and exceed expectations.
- Setting an example for colleagues by complying with all Management Company policies and procedures.
- Monitoring and conducting surveillance on any malpractices on premises.
- Carrying out any other reasonable requests as directed by your manager.
Ensuring that any employed CCTV/work-related security and surveillance systems are professionally operated at all times when assigned and relaying all pertinent information to the Supervisor or Security Manager. Not releasing any CCTV footage to third parties or law enforcement agencies without a court order.
Requirements – Experience, Skills, Education and QualificationsEssential:
- Previous relevant experience in a position within Safety & Security Services.
- Excellent communication skills in all aspects.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
- Confident, approachable, professional, and able to use diplomacy to handle different situations.
- Passionate about delivering the very best service for residents.
- Flexible work hours including night shifts to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
Desirable:
- CCTV, Defib, and First Aid certifications.
- Additional languages would be beneficial.
- Previous experience in luxury hotel or residences.
