About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the F&B Division, the Bartender is responsible for ensuring complete guest satisfaction during their experience by providing great knowledge of beverage services in order to both meet and exceed our guests' expectations.

As a Bartender at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for:

  • Training and coaching other bar staff on beverage preparation, recipes and standards.
  • Leading and communicating with colleagues during the bar operation.
  • Following the production sequence of all beverage products and bar sequence of service.
  • Achieving the service and product delivery standards with a high degree of client care and service at all times.
  • Being responsible for the set-up and operation of bar station/section.
  • Having excellent knowledge of all food and beverage items served in the bars.
  • Providing services for guests such as order taking and promoting the outlet's food and beverage offerings.
  • Providing recommendations and preparing wine, cocktail and spirit choices for guests.

As a Bartender, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 40 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
