About the job
Based within the Legal Department in London, the Legal Secretary is responsible for providing comprehensive secretarial, administrative and legal support to the Legal Department, with a particular focus on EMEA-based colleagues. The role supports legal documentation, contract execution, company secretarial administration, records management and day-to-day departmental operations. The Legal Secretary reports to the Group Counsel.
As Legal Secretary, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Legal Department, including travel arrangements, expenses and invoice processing.
- Assist with the preparation, formatting, execution and filing of legal documents, contracts, resolutions and correspondence.
- Coordinate document execution processes through DocuSign and maintain accurate execution records and completion logs.
- Support company secretarial activities for EMEA entities, including statutory records, governance documentation and regulatory filings.
- Manage legal records and documentation across internal systems including SharePoint, Diligent and DocuSign.
- Monitor shared legal inboxes and support general departmental administration and information requests.
As Legal Secretary, we expect from you:
- Previous experience in a legal secretarial, legal administrative or company secretarial support role.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Experience with legal document execution processes and records management.
- Experience supporting in-house legal teams, company secretarial matters, DocuSign and Diligent is advantageous.
