Responsibilities- To inspect all vacant and occupied rooms to check standards of cleanliness, missing guest amenities and/or supplies.
- To ensure all departure rooms are checked and released promptly for re-let and on time.
- To inspect all rooms carefully ensuring that all special requests and amenities have been observed.
- To follow up on all guest requests and provide prompt service with minimum delay.
- To manage and coordinate Room Attendants and Housekeeping Assistants during the night shift.
- To ensure that all the night tasks are completed (Housekeeping Assistant and Room Attendant extra tasks and responsibilities).
As a Night Housekeeping Manager, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 39 hours a week. Shift patterns will be night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
Qualifications- Proven experience in rooms division leadership role within a luxury, ideally five-star, hotel environment.
- Strong people-leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and develop a diverse team while maintaining a calm, professional approach under pressure.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of managing large-scale operations to the highest standards.
- Solid operational competence, including experience in inventory control, cost management, and effective use of housekeeping systems and technology.
- Excellent communication skills and a flexible, hands-on approach, able to collaborate across departments and adapt to business needs, including varied shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
