As a People & Culture Officer at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, we expect from you:

  • Supporting managers and colleagues with employee relations matters, including performance management, probation reviews, investigations, and wellbeing conversations, helping to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Deliver a seamless colleague journey by managing People & Culture administration across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and promotions to benefits, payroll changes, compliance, and employee records, ensuring every detail reflects our luxury standards.
  • Attract and welcome exceptional talent by supporting recruitment activities, sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, managing onboarding, and ensuring every candidate receives a memorable and professional experience from first contact to first day.
  • Champion colleague engagement and recognition by helping to organise employee events, celebrations, awards, communications, and wellbeing initiatives that bring our culture to life and strengthen colleague connections across the hotel.
  • Ensure compliance and operational excellence by maintaining HR systems and records, managing right-to-work checks and DBS processes, supporting reporting requirements, and ensuring all People & Culture practices meet legal and company standards.

To be a successful People & Culture Officer candidate, you will/must have:

  • Previous experience in a People & Culture role, ideally within hospitality or a customer-focused environment.
  • A passion for people, with the ability to build positive relationships and provide exceptional support to colleagues and managers.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally and discreetly.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and ATS systems, preferably Workday and ADP, combined with a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
