About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the F&B Division the Head Bartender is responsible for ensuring complete guest satisfaction during their experience by providing great knowledge of beverage services in order to both meet and exceed our guests & residents expectations.

  • As a Head Bartender at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for:
  • Training and coaching other bar staff on beverage preparation, recipes and standards.
  • Developing a strong relationship with suppliers and brand ambassadors.
  • Understanding and operating the POS system and coaching other team members.
  • Supervising the production sequence of all beverage products and bar sequence of service.
  • Training and coaching other bartenders on beverage preparation.
  • Providing beverage training for FOH and bar personnel.
  • Maintaining the appropriate level of beverage stock.
  • Attending the pre‑service briefings to ensure tasks are followed‑up efficiently prior to guests’ arrival.
  • Developing and maintaining a contemporary cocktail list, including spirits and beers, in line with the Beverage Manager.

As a Head Bartender, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 40 hours a week.

Shift patterns will vary (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
