Responsibilities:- Display excellent wine knowledge and be able to recommend and match appropriate wines with the chosen food.
- Organisation and maintenance of the wine list and the cellar.
- Training and supporting Commis Sommelier.
- Ensuring all beverages are correctly posted through Infrasys.
As a Sommelier, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 46-48 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary from morning, evening, and late night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
To be a successful Sommelier candidate, you will have wine and food knowledge, with a strong understanding of fine dining restaurant service steps and previous experience as a Commis Sommelier or Sommelier.
