We’re looking for a Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team at One Hyde Park. Are you a master of craft? As a Shift Engineer at One Hyde Park, you will be responsible for:
- Inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of the mechanical systems, electrical systems and building fabric of the common and back of house areas of the property.
- To conduct and record inspections of the life-safety systems.
- To form part of the emergency response team.
As a Shift Engineer, you will be working on a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift basis of 12-hour shifts. Shift patterns will vary from day and night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
To be a successful Shift Engineer candidate, you will have or be:
- Proficiency in various technical areas such as HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Experience in a similar environment.
- Working knowledge of Fire, Life, Health and Safety systems.
- An apprenticeship or certificate in a relevant engineering field.
- An ability to quickly identify and troubleshoot issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to residents' comfort and safety.
- Inquisitive and keen to learn, with a desire to see a task through to its completion and keep calm under pressure.
- Enjoy working as part of a team yet can work effectively unsupervised.
- A friendly and professional demeanour when interacting with residents, providing excellent service while respecting their privacy and preferences.
