What if your next Project Manager role gave you the chance to build differently? Not just manage another construction programme. Not just move from one traditional main contractor to another. But join a business genuinely changing the way buildings are designed, manufactured and delivered. We’re recruiting exclusively for one of the UK’s most exciting and progressive construction businesses as they continue to expand their Education team. With a strong pipeline of projects across London, Essex and the East of England, they are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take ownership of projects on site and drive them through to successful completion. The role As a delivery focused Construction Project Manager, you’ll be leading the project day to day, driving the programme, managing the site team and supply chain and making sure the job is delivered safely, on time, to budget and to the right quality. You’ll be the key point of contact on the project, working closely with the client while bringing together the design, commercial and operational teams to keep everything moving. That means being visible on site, knowing exactly where the project stands and dealing with issues before they become problems. You’ll also have involvement during pre-construction, giving you the opportunity to influence how projects are planned and delivered before arriving on site. Why this business? They’re doing things differently. Their approach brings together design, manufacturing and construction, with significant investment in digital technology, modern methods of construction and their own UK manufacturing capability. For an experienced main contractor Project Manager, it’s an opportunity to take your site delivery experience into a business that is challenging some of the more traditional ways of building. What are we looking for? You need to know how to run a construction project properly! You’ll already be working as a Project Manager within a main contractor environment, with experience taking responsibility for the delivery of construction projects on site. Education, DfE, CF25, CF21 experience would be a real advantage. More importantly, we want someone who can lead a team, drive a programme, manage subcontractors, work effectively with commercial and design teams and build a strong relationship with the client. Someone who takes ownership! Someone who knows what good site delivery looks like! And someone who wants to be part of a construction business doing things a little differently. With projects across London, Essex and the East of England, this could work particularly well for someone based in Essex, East London or the surrounding areas. Due to teh nature of work this business delivers, succesful candidates will need to have a full UK driving lisence and be eligible for attaining DBS and BPSS clearances
