Shape projects long before construction begins! We're working with one of the UK's fastest-growing specialist M&E contractors to recruit an MEP Pre Construction Manager. This is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious business that has experienced exceptional growth and established an outstanding reputation for delivering technically challenging projects across the defence, education, commercial and public sectors. Operating as part of a highly successful construction group, the business combines the agility of a specialist contractor with the security, investment and long-term pipeline of a major principal contractor. Continued growth has created a brand-new opportunity for someone to establish and lead its pre construction function. This isn't a traditional Project Manager role. We're looking for someone who enjoys the front end of projects, working closely with clients, consultants, design teams, commercial and procurement to ensure projects are fully coordinated, commercially robust and ready for successful delivery. Whilst this is an MEP role, there is a strong electrical bias, so we're particularly interested in candidates with an electrical background or those who have significant experience managing electrical building services packages as part of wider MEP projects. If you enjoy improving processes, solving technical challenges and influencing projects before they reach site, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing business. The Opportunity Working directly with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, you'll take ownership of projects from early client engagement through feasibility, design development, estimating, procurement planning and mobilisation before handing projects over to the delivery teams. You'll play a key role in shaping the company's pre construction function, influencing internal processes, improving project outcomes and supporting the continued growth of the business. Responsibilities * Lead the MEP pre construction and PCSA process from concept through to project handover. * Coordinate electrical and wider building services design development. * Manage estimating, commercial and procurement activities. * Develop procurement strategies and manage early package procurement. * Drive value engineering and buildability reviews. * Manage project budgets, programmes, risks and opportunities. * Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners. * Support bid strategy and early contractor involvement. * Present project updates and recommendations to senior leadership. * Ensure projects are fully coordinated before mobilisation. * Continuously improve pre construction processes across the business. About You This role could suit someone currently working as an: * Electrical Project Manager * Building Services Manager * Electrical Contracts Manager * MEP Design Manager * Pre Construction Manager You'll come from an electrical or MEP building services background, with experience leading projects through the pre construction phase. You'll be commercially aware, organised and confident working with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders, with experience in design management, procurement, value engineering, budgeting and project coordination. Experience of PCSA, NEC and JCT contracts would be advantageous. Why Apply? * Newly created position with genuine autonomy. * Work directly alongside an experienced and supportive leadership team. * Opportunity to build and shape a growing pre construction function. * Exposure to complex, high-profile projects. * Long-term career progression as the business continues to expand. * Stable pipeline of secured work. * Collaborative culture where ideas and innovation are encouraged. * Join a business that invests in people, systems and long-term growth. Security Requirements Due to the nature of the projects undertaken, applicants must be eligible to obtain UK security clearance. In practice, this opportunity is suitable only for British Nationals, as this is a requirement of many of the projects you'll be supporting
