We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Projects Manager to oversee the successful delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong project professional to join a growing organisation and play a key role in delivering high-quality residential and commercial developments.
The Role
Reporting into the Director of Design and Build, you will be responsible for managing the technical and operational delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate design, technical compliance, procurement, and construction activities across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects from design stage through to handover
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, and subcontractors
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and technical requirements
- Act as the key technical liaison between clients, design teams, and site teams
- Monitor project programmes and report on progress against milestones
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Provide technical guidance and resolve design or construction-related issues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Support procurement activities and value engineering initiatives
- Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders throughout project delivery
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical project management role within construction
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, design coordination, and project delivery
- Experience delivering complex commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Project, Asta Powerproject, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software
- Good understanding of JCT contracts and technical standards
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
- Experience managing residential projects, ideally within Local Authority environments
Desirable
- Professional accreditation such as CIOB or RICS
- Experience working with sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM
