Overall Purpose of Role
The post holder is a key operational role in the School, supporting the School Compliance, Safety and Estates Manager (CSEM) and the School Operations Manager (SOM), to deliver key operations activities across the School and to ensure efficient and effective support, advice and guidance is provided to all stakeholders related to effective management of compliance, safety and estates activities. Operating as part of the interdepartmental School Operations Team, the post-holder will undertake projects and champion activities on behalf of the School, engaging in communities of practice to achieve continuous business improvement and standardisation, working in collaboration with colleagues in the Faculty and the wider University. The post-holder will work closely with the Faculty Executive and Compliance Support Officer to develop and maintain effective working partnerships with staff, students and relevant stakeholders; to implement safety and compliance processes, protocols and policies and monitor effectiveness. Compliance support will focus on health & safety procedures and risk assessments as well as information governance and data protection. The post-holder will support space allocation processes and the delivery of estates projects within the School. The role is hybrid, requiring work across the four School buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CSEM and SOM in delivering operations activities across the School.
- Undertake projects and champion activities within the School Operations Team.
- Engage in communities of practice to drive continuous improvement and standardisation.
- Develop and maintain effective working partnerships with faculty, staff, students and stakeholders.
- Implement safety and compliance processes, protocols and policies; monitor their effectiveness.
