We are looking to recruit a locum doctor for a period of 6 months. This is an exciting opportunity in paediatric oncology, haematology and stem cell transplant and gene therapy as a Senior Locally Employed Doctor at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Main duties of the job The appointee would spend most of the time on the wards and be responsible for the clinical care of patients in the above mentioned sub-specialties at RMCH. During this time, the successful candidate will be attending respective ward rounds and MDT meetings and providing ward cover as well as attending clinics and outpatient care. Clinical ward cover is also expected out of hours and is remunerated and is on the paediatric middle grade paediatric haematology and oncology rota, where cover will include cover of children with leukaemia, solid tumours and children with benign haematology diagnoses as well as those undergoing BMT and gene therapy/ CAR-T therapy. Cover will always be available with the relevant consultant haematologist or oncologist.
