We are one of the country\\\’s leading Major Trauma Centers and, accordingly, always at the forefront of new and exciting opportunities within the NHS. We are one of the busiest departments in the North West, seeing over 100,000 new patients per year. Supported by an exceptional clinical team, we are committed to improving current working practices and embracing change and development. We are looking for an Administrator who embraces change and wants to join a diverse team in a busy but rewarding department where you can work independently and as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Role and responsibilities

  • Operate within the clearly defined limits of our policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines, aiding the smooth running of the CSU and reflecting high quality customer care in all daily activities.
  • Be part of a 24/7 facility and work flexibly on a rota system that can change at short notice due to short notice absence or department needs.

Training and development

All training required to undertake the post will be provided, in addition to support for your personal and professional development. You will have the opportunity to access relevant training such as ECDL and NVQ Level 2 in healthcare administration/supervisory skills through our appraisal process.

Hours and shifts

The department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You will need to be flexible in your approach to working hours and can expect early shifts (approximately 7am to 3pm), late shifts (approximately 2pm to 10pm) and overnight shifts (approximately 9pm to 7:30am).
