We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Radiographers to join our dynamic, friendly team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and improving standards and the quality of patient services. Manchester University Hospital Foundation Trust (MFT) is located in the vibrant city of Manchester, named the best UK city to live in by The Economist’s ‘Global Liveability Index’ 2018.
It is an exciting time to join our team, with the implementation of a new HIVE (EPR) system and a large-scale equipment replacement programme.
The position is based at the Trafford site and involves training and rotation through general X-ray, theatre and mobile imaging, fluoroscopy, and CT, as well as at Altrincham and the Withington Community Hospital site, which opened in June 2021.
This role involves working across multiple sites on a rota basis, with hours spread over the 7-day week.
MFT is a busy teaching hospital and a Major Trauma centre, with approximately 145,000 emergency department visits annually.
Our radiology department is evolving and offers opportunities to develop skills in all areas of general radiography, with excellent rotation into CT and prospects for progression into specialist areas. We have 6 general radiography rooms (2 at AGH), 2 CT scanners (Phillips and Siemens), and 2 Siemens MRI scanners.
You should:
- Hold a BSc in Radiography or DCR
- Be HCPC Registered
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be organized and able to prioritize workload
- Be flexible
You will:
- Receive comprehensive induction and training in all areas
- Have annual appraisals
- Receive enhanced remuneration for night duties
- Be fully rotated into CT with cannulation skills as a Band 5
