An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Alcohol Care Team at MFT (Wythenshawe, MRI, NMGH). This is a full-time, permanent role primarily based at Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI), with cross-site work at NMGH.

The Alcohol Care Team (ACT) is a small team of specialist nurses working across all wards and departments of MFT. Core service hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00. The successful candidate will work autonomously within this team and in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT).

The team provides expertise in the identification, assessment, treatment, and management of patients with Alcohol-use Disorders or alcohol-related harm attending or admitted to MFT.

The ideal applicant should be highly motivated, interested in developing their skills in this specialized field, and capable of working independently. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential. The role also involves working with the team to improve the quality of care and develop the service, including delivering training sessions to colleagues. Support for occasional dual visits with the Supportive Outreach Team of ACT may be required.
