The Role
The Women’s Team Ops Lead will support our commercial function by driving sales opportunities and enhancing communication strategies for Women’s Football. This role will be instrumental in managing ticketing operations, improving fan engagement, and aligning marketing campaigns with the club’s objectives. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across multiple departments to maximise revenue, optimise communication channels, and elevate the overall experience for supporters of Manchester United Women.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Ticketing
- Lead and coordinate all commercial initiatives for Manchester United Women, ensuring seamless sales processes for both Season Tickets and match tickets.
- Monitor sales data, analyse trends, and identify opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to minimise ticket wastage and optimise club spending.
- Work with opposition clubs to manage visiting team requirements for home and away games.
- Work with Women’s Football team members to ensure that internal ticketing requirements are catered for.
Marketing & Communications
- Partner with the Marketing Team to develop targeted campaigns that promote Women’s Football products and events.
- Improve the existing communication strategies, ensuring clear and engaging messaging for key stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Fan Engagement
- Liaise with Women’s Team staff to streamline communication, fixture schedules, and other key updates.
- Strengthen engagement with the dedicated Women’s Football fan base, ensuring effective two-way communication.
- Develop strategies to expand outreach beyond the existing closed-group communication model.
- Support club-wide efforts in growing the Women’s Football audience through innovative sales and engagement strategies.
Skill & Experience
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, within sports, entertainment, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to assess ticketing data and optimise sales strategies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns is desirable.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, with a drive to improve existing processes and strategies.
