The Performance Nutritionist will be responsible for driving best‑in‑class nutrition practices across Academy, Transition, and Loan players. This includes delivering individualised and group‑based support, contributing to First Team operations, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance performance outcomes and long‑term athlete development.

Nutrition Delivery

  • Lead and evolve the Women’s Academy nutrition strategy aligned to long‑term athlete development.
  • Establish systems to support female athlete health, energy availability, and performance outcomes.
  • Deliver individualised nutrition support including assessment, monitoring, and intervention.
  • Design and deliver education programmes to promote athlete ownership and behaviour change.
  • Conduct and interpret dietary analysis, body composition, and hydration assessments.
  • Maintain accurate athlete monitoring systems and detailed records.
  • Collaborate with coaches, medical staff, MDT, and catering teams to embed nutrition into daily environments.
  • Build relationships with parents/guardians to support holistic player development.
  • Support supplement protocols in line with club policy and anti‑doping regulations.
  • Contribute to a high‑performance nutrition culture across the women’s programme.
  • Continuously review, innovate, and improve delivery methods.

Women’s First Team Integration

  • Provide weekly on‑site support at Carrington (minimum two half‑days).
  • Assist with day‑to‑day nutrition practices for the Women’s First Team.
  • Support training and matchday nutrition provision.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Ensure alignment between Academy and First Team nutrition standards.
