The Role
The Partnerships Manager role is a key position in delivering partner rights and activations that drive effectiveness. They will report directly to the Partnership Director and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of partners, ensuring the delivery of rights and activations to the highest standard. The role requires a self-starter and energizer who excels in execution and collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
Partner Relationships:
- Serve as the regular point of contact for partner activation plans and collaborate with agencies and in-market leads to drive high standards of execution.
- Lead the creative approval process for partner/agency content.
- Support renewal strategies in alignment with the Partnerships Director to achieve renewal goals.
- Manage a portfolio of global partnerships, ensuring effective delivery and engagement.
Strategic Planning:
- Participate in planning workshops and design activation plans to maximize rights across media channels and physical experiences.
- Develop and manage task plans with the Performance Lead, updating them as needed.
- Stay informed on sports marketing and media trends to inform creative strategies.
- Prepare case studies for the sales team within one month of results being available.
- Contribute to campaign reporting and present results to partners.
Activation:
- Manage the transition from planning to execution, including creating project plans and tracking tasks.
- Oversee campaign delivery and creative approvals, supporting content capture and campaign activities.
- Coordinate with specialist teams for smooth execution of partner content and events.
- Establish and maintain communication with partner teams and agencies.
- Handle partner communication, escalate issues, and support on-ground activities during events.
Operations:
- Manage rights delivery logs in Salesforce.
- Ensure financial controls are followed, including P/Os, invoices, and budgets.
- Maintain contact reports and notes for partner meetings.
- Be aware of contractual obligations and flag potential breaches.
The Person
We are looking for someone with:
Experience:
- At least 2 years in an activation-focused role, preferably within sports, media, entertainment, or large-scale consumer industries.
- Proven track record in managing high-performing projects and stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in delivering complex, multi-faceted projects to a world-class standard.
