The Role
Old Trafford Tour & Museum are responsible for delivering world-class tours and experiences that immerse visitors in the rich history and heritage of Manchester United Football Club, creating unforgettable memories for fans from around the globe.
We are seeking an energetic and engaging Sports Coach to join our team. This role is unique in its versatility, combining high-energy football coaching with premium guest relations. You will be the face of our Take to the Pitch and Birthday Party experiences, while also acting as a knowledgeable ambassador within our Museum, ensuring every visitor enjoys an elite Manchester United experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and deliver high-quality, safe, and engaging football coaching sessions for our Take to the Pitch and Birthday Party packages.
- Organise and set up all necessary equipment for coaching activities, ensuring all health and safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring a secure environment for all participants during youth-focused activities.
- Assist with the flow of visitors during peak times, maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere at all times.
- Act as a key point of contact within the Museum, proactively engaging with fans to share club history, answer questions, and enhance their visit.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Tour and Museum team to ensure smooth transitions of groups between the Museum, Stadium, and Pitch areas.
The Person:
- A valid FA Level 1 (or equivalent) coaching badge (preferred).
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage children, families, and international visitors.
- A positive, energetic, and professional approach to delivering coaching and guest experiences.
- A strong sense of responsibility, particularly in relation to safeguarding and health & safety.
- A team-oriented mindset and pride in representing Manchester United to a global audience.
- Flexibility to work weekends and school holidays in line with peak visitor periods.
- Availability on 22/05/2026 and 25/05/2026 for Take to the Pitch delivery (essential).
