The Role

You’ll be part of the Data & AI Team, playing a key role in the club’s transformation into a fully data-driven organisation. The team delivers powerful insights, builds trusted data products, and operates modern data platforms that enable better decisions and success on and off the pitch. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain high-quality full-stack web applications that make the club’s data accessible, actionable and valuable.
  • Work closely with data engineers and platform engineers to consume APIs and data services, surfacing data through intuitive applications.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our central insights platform, embedding powerful data tools and visualisations across football and business functions.
  • Deliver front-end applications and back-end services, with a focus on performance, reliability and user experience.
  • Promote engineering excellence by shaping and upholding coding standards, patterns and best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring engineers and supporting a culture of continuous learning, innovation and high-quality delivery.

We work in an agile environment, operating in a rapid build phase where we iterate quickly with our users and continuously refine our products.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js and Node.js in production.
  • Proven track record delivering end-to-end web applications in a modern cloud environment.
  • Confidence integrating with APIs and working with data-centric back-end services.
  • Good understanding of testing, CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
  • Ability to translate business needs into simple, elegant technical solutions.
  • Effective communicator who can work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for using data and technology to improve performance in high-performance environments such as elite sport.

What We Offer

  • Annual incentive scheme.
  • Wellness Support with access to mental health resources, digital health checks, and nutritionists through Aviva Digicare+.
  • Workplace Exclusive Discounts through our United Rewards platform, giving you access to exclusive deals from the club and partners.
  • Gym Facilities in our onsite locations and opportunities for regular social events and team-building activities.
