Production Manager (12 Month FTC)
Location: Old Trafford Stadium
As Production Manager you will play a central role in delivering Manchester United’s global content output across various platforms, overseeing end‑to‑end production planning, budget management, scheduling, and logistics to ensure high‑standard delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Lead production planning, logistics and operations across content projects, shoots, matchdays and live productions.
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, communicating key updates and coordinating cross‑department activity.
- Manage budgets, financial tracking, travel, equipment, accreditation, risk assessments and operational compliance.
- Oversee camera kit, production resources and internal media requests.
- Support the delivery of major events, including finals, charity matches, pre‑season tours and friendly fixtures.
Content & Matchday Planning
- Maintain production schedules, content calendars and football operations across men’s, women’s and academy teams.
- Coordinate crew scheduling, staffing and resource allocation for all productions.
- Lead matchday planning and logistics, including call sheets, accreditation and live coverage preparation.
Stakeholder & Rights Holder Management
- Manage relationships with governing bodies, clubs and broadcasters.
- Coordinate filming permissions, live feed requirements, camera plans and broadcast operations.
- Ensure compliance with competition regulations, licensing and accreditation processes.
Leadership
- Provide day‑to‑day management of the Talent & Production Coordinator.
- Oversee team resourcing, holiday planning and onboarding of staff and freelancers.
- Manage freelance bookings, invoicing and budget allocation.
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in production management, content operations or broadcast production.
- Strong production planning, scheduling and logistical coordination experience.
- Demonstrable budget management and financial administration skills.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
- Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making capability.
- High level of administrative accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
- Experience working within sports, media, broadcasting or live events environments.
- Knowledge of football broadcasting operations, accreditation processes and competition regulations.
- Experience coordinating large‑scale events, tours or international productions.
