Responsibilities
- This role merges cloud engineering with traditional infrastructure support. The successful candidate will lead the development, deployment, and operational management of both Azure-based and on-premise environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all IT systems. The role includes critical match day support and collaboration with data science and cyber security teams to align infrastructure with analytics, compliance, and operational goals.
- Traditional Infrastructure & Endpoint Management
- Provide 3rd line support across M365, Intune, Autopilot, and Windows Server environments.
- Manage network switches, secure Wi-Fi, virtual machines, and storage systems.
- Create and deploy desktop/laptop templates for corporate devices.
- Support stadium access systems, ticketing, EPOS, and match day operations.
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable services on Azure and AWS platforms.
- Lead initiatives on security principles and cost analysis for cloud infrastructure.
- Work closely with the Technology & Data Science teams to support, secure & monitor platforms.
- Configure and maintain Azure AD, RBAC, Key Vault, Conditional Access, and Defender integrations.
- Collaborate with the Cyber Security team to ensure platform stability and compliance.
- Monitor and respond to incidents; enforce secure configurations and policies.
- Work closely with data science, cyber security and infrastructure teams to design, implement, secure and support the technology platforms.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Liaise with IT partners (e.g., DXC, TeamViewer) to deliver contractual solutions.

- Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, Entra ID, M365
- Security: Defender Suite, Sentinel, RBAC, PIM
- Networking Principles: VLAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancers, vNet
- Compute & Storage: Hypervisor, Azure VMs, Azure Files, SharePoint / OneDrive
- Endpoint Management: Intune, Autopilot, Conditional Access
- Soft Skills: Calm under pressure, mentoring, stakeholder engagement
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting web-based applications, IIS, and SQL Server.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of technologies.
- Good understanding of MacOS, MacOS Server, iOS devices.
- Experience with CI/CD & Automation: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of scripting via PowerShell, Python
- Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Operating Systems
- Experience working with LAN and WAN technology (including TCP/IP, DNS, VOIP, Firewalls, switches).
- Experience of maintaining security standards.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
- Ability to create and maintain Technical Documentation.
