Location: Carrington Training Complex

Manchester United Academy is looking for experienced Academy Drivers to provide passenger transport for players and staff across Greater Manchester and the wider UK. The primary role is to transport players to and from training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and efficient transport between schools, training base, match venues and homes within scheduled hours.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and ensure routes are followed.
  • Maintain clean fleet vehicles and complete daily vehicle checks.

Schedule and Hours

  • Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 05:00‑09:00 or 13:00‑23:00 (flexible).
  • Wed: 07:00‑21:00.
  • Weekends: as required.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Experience driving young/multiple passengers.
  • Experience driving long distances.
  • Qualified to drive 17‑seater and 9‑seater vehicles (category D1).
  • Relevant MIDAS or PATS training (training will be provided if not).
  • Flexible to work mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience using satellite navigation.
  • Must be over 25 with at least 2 years' driving experience.
  • Clean driving record.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in transportation and travel arrangements.
  • Knowledge of driving legislation.
  • Experience working with young people.
  • Advance or secure driving certification.
  • D1 category driving licence.
