Overview
Manchester United Academy is looking for Academy Drivers to provide passenger service for players & staff around Greater Manchester area and wider UK. The primary role is to transport players to and from training sessions.

Role Summary
Organised drivers with the ability to work safely and within the rules set out in our Transport Policy. Casual basis with flexible hours.
Required Service Hours
- Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri – Flexible hours between 05:00 & 09:00, 13:00 & 23:00
- Wed – 07:00-21:00
- Weekends – Requirement dependent on activities
Key Responsibilities
- Transport players, staff and players to training sessions and other club activities.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness for all MU fleet vehicles.
- Complete daily vehicle checks in line with transport regulations.
- Ensure travel arrangements are completed and in line with the planned route for the day.
- Communicate confidently with colleagues, young people and their families.
- Work mornings, evenings and weekends when required.
Qualifications
- Full, clean driving licence with experience of driving young/multiple passengers.
- Experience of regular driving and also at long distances.
- Qualified to drive 17-seater, 9-seater vehicles (category D1).
- Relevant MIDAS training or PATS training (Not essential, training will be provided).
- Flexible to meet the demands of the schedule and can work mornings, evenings and weekends when required.
- Confident communicating with colleagues, young people and families.
- At least 2 years of driving experience and clean licence.
- Over the age of 25.
Essential Skills
- Use of satellite navigation (satnav) systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Clean driving licence.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in transportation and travel arrangements.
- Basic knowledge of legal framework & requirements around driving legislation.
- Experience working with young people.
- Advance or secure driving certification.
- D1 category on driving licence.
