The Role

The Accreditation Coordinator is the single point of ownership for all matchday and event accreditation activity. The role ensures a safe, compliant, and consistent approach to access management across Men’s, Women’s, Academy, and wider club events, reducing duplication, operational risk, and reliance on individuals. The post holder will manage the accreditation systems and processes, acting as the central intake for all accreditation requests, and coordinate delivery across Operational, Communications, Broadcasting, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accreditation Management
    • Lead end-to-end accreditation for media and broadcasters across men’s, women’s and key academy fixtures.
    • Oversee the design, production and distribution of passes, ensuring compliance with governing body and security requirements.
    • Manage accreditation platforms (e.g. Venue Aware and Data Co) and maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant data.
    • Run Accreditation Centre operations on matchdays, including pass distribution and issue resolution.
    • Manage a shared accreditation mailbox, ensuring efficient processing, clear audit trails and adherence to timelines.
    • Work cross-functionally to define access zones and permissions.
    • Produce post-event reporting and drive continuous improvement.
  • Matchday & Event Delivery
    • Deliver accreditation for men’s, women’s and academy fixtures across relevant venues.
    • Prepare all accreditation materials in advance, including photo ID, zone access and matchday credentials.
    • Attend key fixtures to support live delivery and provide basic on-site system support.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Liaise with Security, Communications, Operations, broadcasting partners and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure consistent application of access rules and compliance standards.
    • Support visiting teams, officials and suppliers as required.
  • Process Improvement & Governance
    • Embed consistent standards and streamline processes to reduce duplication.
    • Maintain accurate records and audit trails to support compliance and safety.
    • Identify and implement improvements aligned to industry best practice.
  • Resource & Resilience
    • Coordinate casual staff during peak periods.
    • Provide documentation, handovers and training to ensure continuity and knowledge retention.

The Person

Essential

  • Experience in accreditation, access control, events, matchday operations, or venue management.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident stakeholder management across multiple teams.
  • Competent IT skills and ability to learn accreditation systems quickly.

Desirable

  • Experience in sport, stadia, live events, or large-scale venues.
  • Familiarity with access zoning, safety, or compliance environments.
  • Experience working with casual or seasonal workforces.
  • Understanding of broadcasting or media accreditation.

Working Pattern

Flexible, including: Matchdays (evenings & weekends) and Peak event periods.
