The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students; to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. Manchester Met's events team invite you to take part in a focus group to help shape the future of our graduation ceremonies. We want to hear directly from you about your expectations, preferences, and ideas for how graduation should feel and function. Your insights will help us create a memorable and meaningful experience for all graduates.
You will be expected to complete a short 10‑minute task ahead of the focus group, which will be sent to you via email. As part of the focus group, you will be expected to attend a 2‑hour, on‑campus session. The session will be facilitated by an Event & Marketing Manager at the University and will include a series of small‑group activities with other students designed to help you share your views and opinions. The sessions will be semi‑structured so additional questions will be asked based on the responses you give. The session will be audio‑recorded to support the researchers’ note‑taking after the focus group. Your comments will be generalised and anonymised during this process. The audio recordings will not be published anywhere.
You will be required to be available for one of the following sessions:
- Tuesday 2 December 2026, 2:00‑4:00 pm
- Wednesday 3 December 2026, 10:00 am‑12:00 pm
- Wednesday 3 December 2026, 2:00‑4:00 pm
