The University is making substantial investments in the Department of Computing and Mathematics with multiple Lecturer and Senior Lecturer appointments over the next calendar year. About the Role
You will be a passionate educator who fully understands the pedagogic approaches needed to deliver excellent student experience and learning opportunities on the foundation and undergraduate courses you will teach. The role will be fixed-term for 3 years initially.
About You
We are seeking applications from individuals who have expertise in the field of Computing either through academic research or professional practice. You will have in-depth knowledge of current tools and techniques. We are specifically looking for expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Programming (e.g. Java, Rust, Python, JavaScript, C++)
- Computer Networking
- University Study Skills (report writing, note taking, literature reviews)
- Job Readiness (CV writing, interview techniques, mock assessment centres)
You will be expected to have experience in higher education-level teaching or mentoring in Computing.
