The position is available to current Manchester Met students based in the UK for the duration of the role. We are seeking one student photographer to capture key moments and build a photography portfolio while supporting a university event.

Responsibilities

  • Photograph keynote speakers on stage.
  • Capture audience engagement and atmosphere in the main theatre.
  • Document award presentations and panel discussions.
  • Visit seminar rooms to photograph sessions and interactions.
  • Take candid and posed shots during registration, refreshment breaks, and networking.
  • Ensure a good mix of wide shots, close‑ups, and crowd‑engagement images.
  • Remain respectful and non‑disruptive during presentations and sessions.
  • Potentially video‑capture interview with delegates.
  • Help judge image competition on the day.

Work hours: 07:45 am to 05:00 pm (incl. 50% editing time).

Training & Logistics

Training will start on 25 June 11:00–11:30 at the Business School Building reception. You will be asked to wear a yellow event assistant t‑shirt, which will be provided to you.
