We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join the Student Services Operations team to support the work of the Inclusion and Disability Service, which provides advice and support to a range of students who require additional support to help them succeed in their studies. This is a part-time, fixed term post working 3 days per week – currently Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Overview
About the role
Working as part of a small team of administrators, you will:
- provide professional and high-quality reception and administrative support to the Inclusion and Disability Service and act as the first point of contact for initial enquiries from students, staff and external stakeholders.
- respond sensitively to enquiries and handle personal information in line with university procedures and data protection legislation.
- manage student appointment bookings, ensuring all associated tasks are completed and that waiting times for appointments are kept to agreed timescales.
- use CRM systems to create and maintain accurate records.
As this is a student-facing role you will be based predominantly on campus.
Qualifications
About the candidate:
Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential for this role. You will also:
- have experience of reception and administration work in a similar setting
- be confident in following agreed procedures when referring or escalating enquiries
- be self-motivated with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload
- have excellent IT skills, with the ability to use Microsoft packages and CRM/database systems
- experience of handling enquiries and sensitive information confidentially
- be able to work flexibly as part of a team and adapt to a changing workplace.
