Are you a postgraduate student from the Faculty of Science & Engineering with a positive experience to share? On Tuesday 7 July, we're hosting an event for prospective masters students who hold an offer to study at Manchester Met this September. The event aims to give visitors a taste of what to expect from their postgraduate course. The afternoon will include interactive taster sessions, a networking session with tutors and current students, and a student life fair.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Speaking with prospective students during the faculty networking session.
  • Showcasing examples of your work in poster format as part of a student project exhibition (during the networking session).
  • Directing visitors to the student life fair and other locations.

Your main focus will be supporting your subject session and the networking session. Session timings will vary depending on the subject or activity. The earliest session will start at 2:30pm and the latest at 3:30pm. All subject sessions will finish at 4:45pm, followed by a networking session until 5:45pm. After this, you may be required to escort visitors to the student life fair in the Business School, which runs until 7pm. To apply, you must be available for the full timings outlined in red below. However, your exact working hours will depend on your assigned subject session (to be confirmed) and whether visitors need escorting after the networking session.
