Overview
The School of Nursing & Public Health is recruiting Nursing Students to support clearing & confirmation in August.
The role involves interviewing applicants for BSc Nursing and Fd Sc Nursing Associate programmes, phoning applicants to request evidence of qualifications, providing information about the Nursing programmes, and general admin support.
- Dates and Times
- Wednesday 12th August – 2 hours training in the Brooks Building (10‑12)
- Thursday 13th August – up to 12.5 hours in the Business School (start 07.30am)
Responsibilities
- Work within the clearing team during the busy period of clearing & confirmation.
- Interview applicants using a script and score responses using a scoring guide.
- Make telephone calls to applicants to request evidence of qualifications.
- Provide information about the Nursing programmes to applicants.
- Perform general admin support tasks for the clearing team.
- Be available for all dates and times listed, including essential training on 12th August; note that you may be released early depending on operational need.
Qualifications
- Current Manchester Metropolitan Nursing student.
- Able to work independently and follow instructions.
- Confident and comfortable speaking on the phone and responding to queries.
- Able to follow a script when interviewing candidates and use a scoring guide to score applicants’ responses.
- Available to work all specified dates and times, including the 12th August training.
