The current opportunity is available for current undergraduate Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. If your application is successful, we will arrange your Jobs4Students registration before you start work.

The Recruitment and Admissions department are looking to recruit students to work as Clearing Ambassadors in August (based on campus in the Business School). Working over Clearing is an excellent opportunity to boost your customer service skills, and is a valuable addition to your CV.

Clearing Ambassadors will take telephone calls from potential new students. You will check qualifications against the entry requirements, take down the applicant's details, compare against the requirements and inform them of the decision or refer on.

Dates of Work:

  • Training and assessment days - 2 and a half days: Monday 10, Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 August (hours to be confirmed). You must attend ALL compulsory Clearing Training and assessment days in order to work the Clearing Workdays.
  • Clearing Workdays - Thursday 13 August, 7.30am-8pm and Friday 14 August, 7.30am-6pm. (You must be able to work both of these days.)
  • Please note, hours may vary - and will be subject to performance and engagement during the training.
  • There may be extra work available on Saturday 16 August, and the weeks following depending on if clearing remaining open.
