Position Overview

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students. Applicants must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of AV technicians during the installation and dismantling of the degree show.

Dates and Hours

1 June – 31 July 2026. 16 hours per week, timing to be agreed with the successful applicant.

Responsibilities

  • Loaning equipment
  • Operating a booking system
  • Installing and setting up a wide range of Audio-Visual equipment
  • Setting up AV equipment for the degree show
  • Supporting technical colleagues in stock taking and checking equipment
  • Updating Connect2 booking system with barcodes and information
  • Updating The Technical Services Asset Database
  • Supporting a counter service providing excellent customer service

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to work collaboratively and independently
  • Microsoft 365 – Word and Excel
  • Experience handling AV equipment in a safe manner
  • Ability to use online software to update assets and information
  • Ability to follow instructions, adhering to Health and Safety legislation
  • Customer service skills
